Spectrum LX bass
Hi All
I have a Spectrum LX bass (with fretless & fretted necks) but its in a bit of a sorry state. Firstly can anyone tell me if there is a wiring diagram anywhere online as several wires have come off and I have no idea where they go. Soldering is not a problem just need a guide as to what goes where.
thanks for any help
John

Re: Spectrum LX bass
Can't vouch for the LX, but until better information comes along (quite likely) have a look Here for some ideas.

The LX was pretty similar in layout to the GT Bass; perhaps there's a diagram over at the info site?

Re: Spectrum LX bass
Hi, any idea on what bass strings to get for the Spectrum LX? Am thinking of putting neon ones on but what gauge?

009 on a bass? interesting idea....
There's a bloke on the Westone FB page who's put neon green ones on his repainted green Spectrum; looks ....OK, if very bright!!

Re: Spectrum LX bass
Thanks guys, all good fun and good to see some humor as well. Did I mention putting LED's on the frets? Only joking. Not on this bass!!!!
I do know someone with a customised guitar with LEDs in the neck. Looks quite nice. So any gauge is ok looks like it. Cheers

Re: Spectrum LX bass
L.E.D's would be good on the quantum bass as the red fret markers are near invisible in low light

Ooh er, was following on from Westbone, meant the model rail gauge. Wouldnt dream of it on a bass, strings would flap about like a useless flappy thing.

yeah its an 84, im thinking a little (reversible) tippex dot on the sides might help, especially with this being my first headless bass I'm finding it a wee bit tricky to play blind and hitting the wrong notes.....the wife says its an improvement

Can someone tell me, what the knobs and switches should do?
