Drop filling a ding

Hi all,
Just wondering whether anyone has tried drop filling with superglue and how it worked out. Not too bothered about getting a colour match, but just want to smooth it off. Have trawled around t'internet but would like to see some before/after pics so I know what to aim for.

You drop it in with a tooth pick, let it fully harden. Then take a safety razor blade and run it over a metal surface such as a screw driver shank. The aim is to bend the sharp edge of the blade to form a hook. Take some marking tape and wrap it around the blade so that you are just leaving, say a 5mm exposed section of blade and then use it as a scraper. Finish with progressively finer wet and dry and then cutting compound.

I use ink markers to get a colour match. There is a brand called "Letraset Promarker" which I got in a local art shop. They even do wood colours and I regularly use the walnut one.

I meant to say that you use the ink marker at the start, before any drop filling.

Incredible stuff. Makes me want to do this on my strat. That Trevor fellow knows what he's doing.
