Why isn't the price going up? Empty Why isn't the price going up?

It seems strange to me that everyone agrees that the quality of the old Matsumoko Westones is exeptional and that there are a finite amount of originals around, yet the prices do not seem to reflect this and they are still selling ridiculously cheap on "The Bay". Why do you think this is? Brand snobbery?

Yes, you're correct.

If they had a G or an F on the headstock, well...

Pricing has gone up a little, I've been actively searching the Bay for over a year and have seen distinct increases since when I'd started.

We don't want the word on quality to get out. So shhh. Laughing

I suppose there are enough Westones in circulation to meet the demands of the rather small fanbase.. with the exception of the higher end models like Prestige 250, Sessions & some Pantera models which do go for big money when they show up. When there is a Westone drought then the prices should rocket.

Hoo, boy.... the prices now are certainly higher than I was paying 6 and 7 years ago, don't you worry about that!
But you're right in that they haven't done an Ibanez.... yet!

I agree! And though Ibanezs are great guitars, it does start looking fishy when you pay triple the original retail price. Smells like brand spirit
