I just wanted to take a moment to give a big 'Thank You' to Barry and all the others who have put together, and who maintain the WestoneGuitars.net website and this guitar forum.

i am sure many of the regulars here, and many others, have found interesting, valuable and important information regarding our favorite guitars on that site and in these forums.

i am finding new things on the website all the time regarding guitars i am trying to repair or restore to more original condition. between the wiring diagrams and the catalog scans i have found many critical details that helps me improve the guitars i have collected.

and to all those who contribute their knowledge and experience here, another big 'Thank You' for helping out with your insights.

this is a great place to find out just about anything you could want to find out about a Westone.

You're very welcome Mike, and thank you for your thank you! Nice to hear.

The credit for the original content has to go to David Blair and his outstanding one man mission in creating the old "westone.info" site. We were fortunate enough to receive that material (eventually) after he ceased operations. But everything since than has been rebuilt and expanded (by me primarily) and then added to by the members here.

And of course, without Neil Smith who's been footing the cost of the domain name registration and server hosting, there likely wouldn't be a site at all! It's been an act of love by all concerned and I'm pleased to have been of some help.

I would second that and also add a mention of thanks to our roaming minstrel Corsair who does a great job of moderating with a light touch. Also our regular posters, old and new who make this site so vibrant and a pleasure to visit.

I have said this before - This site punches well above its weight due to the spirit of friendship which is patently obvious to all who visit.

I'd like to contribute to the new site - It appears there is a certain model on the site that has no picture available. I'll take a few pics when I get mine next week and feel free to use them as an example on the site

Good idea Sarc! I've had one of those for the past 9 months but nobody wants to see pics of it in the 35 or so pieces it is in right now. Looking forward to your shots.

As a user who profits from this forum way more than I contribute, for lack of knowledge, I am extremely grateful to you all who are always willing to discuss and help out.

There is no need to say how essential the westone site is. It simply brings huge added value to our beloved westones.

oh and another thing.....why do my emoticons always have the javascript text before them? what am i doing wrong?

Dunno off hand. You aren't doing anything strange like copy and pasting are you? All you need do is position the cursor where you want it then click on the image you want to appear there. Easy peasy...

Here's a hint it's a X775 Pantera bass ( I'm a sucker for the Panteras eh). I'm still waiting on the shipping date so we need to wait a bit - unless Ice gets his put together first

Wow that looks so white - This one looks in great shape but has lost than brightness, I will clean it up for the pics. Never had a 5 string before, but looking forward to it.

It wasn't stated in the add..and to be honest I wasn't aware that it had the option till I went on the westone.net site and saw that is how they were sold. This one looks to have the low string, and I as I guitar player would prefer the high string, so maybe I will swap that out now that I have some experience in slotting them - although I only bought the normal guitar gauges

Another vote of thanks to the "gurus" on here and on the Westone site; invaluable source of info all round.

Thanks again, sincerely. It's a huge job, requiring a lot of time, attention to detail, and creativity. Anyone who's done a website will know that I'm understating this!

As I'd recently read, this is the best single make guitar forum anywhere, and with the best reference website anywhere as well. We're blessed to have the dedicated and talented among us. Rock on people!
