DEAN Machine
Found this in a case, it's been there for about 10 years.
Sounds excellent, heavy rock to sweet.
German carve all around the front , back and headstock. All the gold stands proud.
No model number, nothing. Anyone seen one before?

What do you mean you "found this in a case", was it just lurking under the spare bed or summat?Westbone wrote:Found this in a case, it's been there for about 10 years.

Re: DEAN Machine
I know one of the designers for Dean went on to make Chafin guitars. I wonder if this is one of his designs as it seems closer to his own brand than a typical Dean model.
. A friend has a couple of Chafins - custom all the way down to selecting your own wood. I did a side by side with his 3500 dollar custom and my PRS Swamp Ash, and it was a real tough call. The Chafin was beautiful, but the PRS sounded a bit better. They had the same pickup sets in both, and my friend has to concede. But I will say he makes some beautiful guitars, and they play great. I think Ben Chafin had a thing going where he was going to bring back the Electra brand at some point. Maybe with a bit of push he would do the same with Westone.
It's all relative at some point.

Took a second gander at the pics. Boy!... if that isn't a clean, simple and sharp design IDKWI...
Re: DEAN Machine
Chafin's Electra's were really pretty, but they aren't Electras without MMKs to me.

Searching around I found this.

Click on the Indonesia catalogue. Some similar type designs. Especially the Javelin model with a German carve all round.
Thanks sarc.

Crap in a hat that's perrr-taaay!
And how are you just fiding these guitars in your cases?! Is there a secret to growing them? If so, please share!
Or is that you're "finding" them in OTHER people's houses... HUH?! I wonder...

Funny enough I also sell a good few to guys in the States.
Even seen some resold on US ebay...maybe you might of bought one..
The guy that won the Westone shiny logo'ed jacket you were after, in Rhode Is.NJ. has been amassing quite a Westone collection.
