X790 needs TLC
Hi Westone lovers
Vintage (nearly) Westone Pantera II X790 needs new home and TLC: The TLC x4 is here under bridge saddles:
http://www.westone.info/spares/index.html
I stopped playing a long time ago; I just sing, so it's been sitting in it's case for about 17 years. There's a review here form the 80's:
http://www.westone.info/reviews/gmaug86/index.html
If anyone might be interested?

Sadly, flying is not one of my greater skills, and I think you could build one from scratch for the postage cost! I'll keep you in mind if I emigrate...........corsair wrote:Mate, if I was bit closer to Pomgolia, that'd be mine...

Re: X790 needs TLC
Hello Edjay and Welcome!
That sounds like a nice easy project for someone! How's about posting some piccies up in the Members Westones forum for us all to see what needs doing to it?
Pity that it's one with a big long neck otherwise I might have considered it myself! I enjoy a challenge and I've just taken up the bass but because I'm just a Likkul bitty thing, I wouldn't be able to reach all the way to the end of the neck!

Have tried Pollyanna, but you know me, with my boycotts and things. Trying to work on a pic for my avatar.

Re: X790 needs TLC
If the shipping cost wouldn't murder my wallet, I'd be all over it. The Pantera is high on my want list, and I like that headstock much more than the standard one.

Re: X790 needs TLC
I think the Pantera (MK1) has a bolt on neck. This is a one piece Pantera II. Not even sure if they made the MK1 as an X790?Warrn wrote:The Pantera is high on my want list.....
Just being pickie really!
I know what you mean: I bought it because I thought it was the best body I had ever seen on a bass. I still think that even though I stopped playing years ago. However, to be fair, I think the Warwicks have a more versatile sound. But then again......
