The past weeks events I believe show just the opposite. Quite a rich statement from the gentleman to the east with a total I believe of what is it now... 4 ( yes I did say 4) Rainbows in his pocket.
Very well then.......
May the Good Lord take a liking to you...... but not too soon.

Believe it or not there is no pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.
Who is the good Lord? Lord Lucan. He owes me a couple of pints, anyone seen him?
Don't worry Ice, get you a couple next time Cheers.

THE Good Lord, man.
Just a good-natured, gentle Irish jab of a toast... at least as it was explained to me.
...how's about this one then...
Peace and long life.

Hey, Ice I appreciate I missed last Tuesday but where's mine, I could spit a tanner
ALCOHOL ABUSE LECTURE
A man is stopped by the police around 1 AM and is asked where he was going at this late hour.
The man replies, "I am going to attend a lecture about alcohol abuse and the effects it has on the human body and social relations".
The officer then asks, "Really? Who on earth is giving such a lecture at this time of night?"
The man replies simply, "My wife."

This should knock the dust back a little at least, Mike. One of Barry's best exports, IMNSHO...

Hey Ice
Whoopee tonight is drinking night!! - and I am chasing a couple of guitars. A dangerous mix I know, so I think I will write down my cash limit sober and maintain some level of discipline throughout the evening.

A good plan Graham but one with a fatal flaw..... you need to be able to read it as the evening progresses.

As am I, Barry... as am I. But that 40 Creek is one wonderfully smooth Canadian malt.

You blokes are all panty-waists; get some Calvados inya!!
... smoothest thing I have ever imbibed, with that lovely 40% hit!! Mmmmmm... Or - if that's a bit much for you, then Metaxa is a beautiful drop and not quite as "blow yer head Clean off" as Calvados.....

Papa Hemmingway would be proud of you John. Nice selection.
Splash of coffee for you this morning, Graham? In front of the hearth, please help yourself. Cream and/or sugar just behind you there in the pantry.
Bit of a dreary morning in this neck o' the woods but the Sumatra is freshly ground and hot...

Thanks Ice - The coffee was most welcome and I also helped myself to a little doodle on the Melody Maker in the background. These are seriously great wee guitars. I used to own two but sold them to increase my Matsumoku collection. I always think they look like cartoon guitars, like something out of Tom and Gerry, but boy are they bright and resonant!!
PS It wasn't me who left teeth marks in the cheese in the fridge - I would never abuse hospitality.
PPS My plan worked well last night in that I bought nothing so the collection remains static.

Agreed, it is a seriously "neat-o mosquito" little player. This one I now have is a bit of a mismash of differing parts that I have Frankied together out of necessity.
'63 body and neck, Wilkinson replacement wraparound, a '73? Strat singlecoil, Gotohs in the headstock, and so forth. The pup currently in isn't the worst sounding SC I've ever heard, but still a #3 iron or so from the P90 I'd like to have in her.
Always looking to find vintage parts on the cheep, cheep though. Hope to have her back to OEM, someday...
Glad your plan executed without hitches last evening. I lit a candle for you before heading out to the ol' watering hole last night for my evening half-dozen.

That looks inviting Ice. A little condensation on the outside of the glass would have made it the perfect picture. Right now I am chilled out on Lidl Brandy and Lidl coke.
Recent guitar purchases include Seventies Jap Les Paul DC Special, Seventies Tele Thinline, Seventies Jap SG, Aria Pro Leopard LP clone, Gibson Melody Maker P90, Greco Les Paul.
Fortunately all bought sober.
I think I need to take over another room before buying any more, but I just can't help myself!!
Britain is on strike this morning so a lie in for me as I do not have to get up to take the boys to School/University.

I'm in two bands so I have two drummers, but we'd have to get another person involved because the drum kits are both with the singers.
