Did anyone here buy this ... ?

WESTONE SUPER HEADLESS BASS - Walnut, twin Magnabass humbuckers, c/w OHSC.

Sold yesterday for a pretty fair price, considering that this is a recent photograph and the bass appeared to be in near showroom condition . I think that this was the most expensive bass that Westone ever produced, if memory serves!

I had to sit on my hands and watch the auction in pain, whilst other people is, because I have too many basses already .

Thought that you'd like to see the picture anyway, in case you missed the auction. Perhaps the new owner will come and post some more pics !?

Sorry Sfalj, I don't have a link any more. As you know, once the auction has finished, you can't call it up any more by searching in the listings.

I was being cautious about mentioning the price, in case it belonged to someone here and they preferred for it not be revealed. But, as nobody has laid claim to it and this isn't really confidential information anyway, let's just say that it went for between £400 & £500 . Fair price, if you ask me!

That's a great price (for the seller)! Especially for such a beautiful instrument. Were you able to get any other pictures?

When I bought a Westone The Rail Bass three years ago, I started looking for other Westone Basses made in the Eighties by Matsumoku. I fell in love with the Super Headless, and now, after three years of searching, I found this pretty thing.
I wanted it, and I would have paid (nearly) any price ...
The Super Headless arrived today, and it's in absolutely mint condition, really like new.
It came with the original case.
I'm very happy! A very fine bass!

I'm still looking for a Westone Genesis Bass, but they seem as hard to find.

It's funny, I live in Germany too, so we could have been bidding against each other, from just a few miles apart (potentially ).

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the bass for a long time to come.

Anyways, congratulations on your aquisition! You have a beautiful bass. I'm sure you'll enjoy it a whole lot.

So tell us, how does it sound and feel?

I will report soon.
I'm very busy by the time, and this beauty wants new strings and a setup, maybe I will do a fretjob too.

Your fantastic bass looks so much like the Genesis except It has 2 to a side tuners on the headstock,
and a brass bridge, not a Steinberger type, like the photo....perfect for jazz rock fusion...
I know you'll have this Bass for the next 80 years...
