I like them too but I always think of a 70's coffee table when I look at it lol

I was teaching the Sr. High youth in church last Sunday, and I'd decided we'd do the Bible Study in the church cafe. So we went to the cafe, I sat down at a table, and just kind of stared at the table top thinking: "this reminds me of the Paduak". Then I thought: "I'll never want one now, it'll just remind me of a table everytime I play it". Serioulsy!

No, no, you have to think of the Concord, not the table. The Chad wrote:...I sat down at a table, and just kind of stared at the table top thinking: "this reminds me of the Paduak"...

Went for £217, like to think it went to one of the faithful?

I don't think it will end up as a table

Well that's good, wouldn't make a very big table anyway.
Might match my Grandma's basement decor, however...

Played with one of these this week - Polly's lovingly restored one - and whilst I still reckon it fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down, it is a very nice guitar to play...

Theyre a great chunky simple guitar. None of that bolloxy push me pull you phase switching, which pup was it? Isnt it great that you can hang Granny's coffee table around your neck and have fun without your ears being boxed?

...ahh all so subjective eh? I think they look great as well as play great Shame the whole body wasn't made out of paduak (padauk?) though - probably would have taken the price up a bit mind...
Then again - I do like Granny's coffee table (nice mahogony one - beautiful carvings - takes 4 people to lift it...)

Yeah, these lil' buggers have grown on me.
I just like to think of them as the Concord's "special needs" cousin...you know, the one who takes the short bus to the repair shop.
Hey John, when you scared us with that recent Urchin demolition survivor acquisition, I actually thought of the Paduak. Not that it looks anything like the Urchin, but you might follow the idea of capping the top with some nice wood like this.
