I was at a family event at the weekend and my dad's cousin was telling me how he'd found a '75 USA strat in his attic, apparantley he remembered buying it and playing and putting it in the attic but had then forgotten all about it for 30 years!!!

Re: Someone found this in their attic!
Well i'm now a member of the westone club.
Bought for £80
Tatty paint on the bottom, I have cleaned the pots, removed the strings, sanded the fretboard, refinished and put new strings on.
Added a fluffy green strap in-keeping with the glam/hair metal look.
Love it, might not be my last westone!

Re: Someone found this in their attic!
Sounds well, good range from warm tones all the way through to iron maiden clanky p-bass style playing. Sounds better than my Dean, more tonal range. and I can't really compare it to my fretless.
Weight: heavy
Neck dive: only a little
It's all original, only thing that isn't is the strap buttons(it only had one) It's definitely seen some use, there is string shaped marks on the pickups and the frets are worn but still playable.
Love the triangle inlays, which progressively get smaller down the fretboard
More pics soon!
This may not be my last westone, I've always fancied an Aria (Matsumoko era) but saw this from the same factory, what can I say, '83 model, looks like it's been well used back in the day and still plays like new!
I'm impressed
