Hi,

I'm not sure, is it very cool or definitely UNCOOL:
So go and decide for yourself:

Traveling Westone Bass

Here a short translation from the original German description:

Westone Headless Bass, modified to a small and as light as possible Travel Basss for practising abroad.
Fixed strap and integrated cable, to connect to a head phone amp. Works also into a normal amp.
The bass works perfect, based on the massive changes the bass will be sold as broken/spare parts....

Very interesting. I've just finished roasting Gibson for their 'toopid design "modifications" to two of their legendary guitars: LINK
Looks like they swiped the idea from Westone, except that Westone's is an all original design and done correctly; they didn't take an iconic guitar shape and ruin it!

Since there's only one pickup, I would assume someone broke their Rail bass somehow. Also, I would check with the seller to make sure the scale length is correct, the last time I saw one of these (which was how somebody fixed their damaged Rail bass), they rebuilt it with a 34" scale, which wouldn't work right with the neck.

The seller says it's the original bass, which was highly modified.
So my educated guess is, he stripped of the paint, took one pickup out and used a saw to put the body into the actual shape.
Modified a bit the electronics to. At least the neck looks quite original.
