G'day, Martin!! Things is REAL slow in here, mate... most of the crew have disappeared and only the hard nuts remain.... or those wanting a valuation or parts!! :-)

That's a shame Barry but you have to bear in mind that time slips by and more and more new guitars keep appearing that catch the enthusiastic youth. Loving Westones long term is more for those with a deeper understanding of the mechanics of guitars enabling them to tell the difference and the joy it gives when they find one. But sadly there are a few forums that have become stagnant. There are few questions left to ask and there is only so many times you can show off your willy.

Just bought them on ebay. Thank you. Now I need a new Westone headstock decal and we are back to original.

Excellent.

A lot of members have made their own water slide decals.
If you check these search results you should get some ideas of how to do it.

There are different Westone type styles, designs and colours depending on what year/model you're after so you might want to be more specific, eh?

You may get lucky and a member may have something suitable in a drawer somewhere too. Ya never know.

serial #1112442 maybe 1980?

Your serial# makes it a 1981 build and assuming you have a Thunder, the logo style would be like the second one on our website's front page (right side, second one down). LINK

It's up to you whether it's to be in gold, black, white, etc depending on the colour of your head stock. Again, check out the search results above in post #9.

Hello Tom, I had an unusual and unexpected message from ebay support team yesterday saying that they had cancelled your transaction of the Thunder Knobs as you were not a registered ebay member. I assume you may have had some sort of notification from them too. However, I wish to assure you that your order was taken and paid for, and has been sent out to you regardless of ebays actions. In fact your knobs have probably landed in the US already. Regards, Martin.
Info from my end states they are in the US and in the hands of UPS delivery services.
