Samick Radio Ten
Got a Samick Radio Ten from Boise today. My first guitar was a Samick and I thought it was a terrible guitar. I wonder if I would think that today? I bought a very cheap one and couldn't afford this model back in the day so here it is. This guitar sounds great with the stock pickups. I would not have thought that. Not as good as mmk45's but pretty good. Great comfortable shape and the neck feels nice. Been called a poor man's EVH Wolfgang. These are not easy to find but if you find one give it a go and see if you like it?
Prices on these are still decent. I may need to get a plaid one now???
This deal worked out really well since I have two nieces that live in Boise six hours away. He met with my niece and she came up to see her dad here in town. So no shipping involved which made it a really good deal. I really wanted one of these since it was a hard tail and not a Fender style trem. If it was the string thru that would have been nice. Great deal either way.
You may see one of my young sons transformers and his Ninja Hi-Ya's in the pic. He's 3 years old.

Re: Samick Radio Ten
Interesting TVill.
It has echoes of Music Man, especially the headstock with the straight string line to the posts. Even the body shape is similar.

Re: Samick Radio Ten
Samick made a lot of the Epiphone Sheratons. I have owned a fair few and can confirm that they are good quality items.
Enjoy your new axe.

Re: Samick Radio Ten
I have a Samick Greg Bennett Avion (AV3) that is as good as any Epi Les Paul I've ever encoutered. Hotter pickups and a beautiful desert-burst color that is really striking. I had one of their SG knockoffs that I miss frequently.
Re: Samick Radio Ten
Samick made some good ones. They're almost entirely overlooked, a lot like Westone is, but they made some great models. They made some high end shredders in the late 80's early 90's that I'd like to try out.
My first electric 6 string was a Samick SBA460. Still have it. Still really like it, too!
