Hurricane Sandy
Please pray for those of us who are on the East Coast.
Looks like the hurricane is coming straight over top of us.

Re: Hurricane Sandy
Just heard a report on the radio.
All the very best out there sounds like it could be a bad one, hope not.

Re: Hurricane Sandy
As I write this landfall is about 2 hours away, and I understand it could reach upwards of 90 MPH sustained winds!
And further inland at higher elevations, snow!
Here in Southern Ontario, we're getting winds up to 100 Km/h (60 MPH) and expecting about 100 mm (about 4") of rain. We actually just had that strong low pressure system pass through this weekend, and now it's colliding with Sandy and the expectation is that she'll actually push it all back over us a second time! That combined with all the "new" moisture should make for a hell of a downfall. The 'ole sump pump is working overtime.
My thoughts and best wishes to all during this wacky time, and hey! Throw a tarp over them Mats fer Pete's sake!

Re: Hurricane Sandy
I've got a daughter going to school in U of Pittsburgh (Hail to Pitt), called her this evening, she said the rain is coming down sideways, and it "hurts" to get smacked by it. Lots of wind, lots of rain.
Fingers crossed for all of you in Pennsylvania, NY, NJ.

Re: Hurricane Sandy
All turned out ok around here. The storm went over us, but only downed trees and power outages.
My Wife had us prepared... REALLY prepared. I think we'd have survived a zombie apocalypse the way she had us ready.

Glad you made it OK Chad. All my family on the east coast is OK, still haven't talked to my cousin in NY but i'm thinking they are fine. Wreaked some havoc for sure.
