Sharing my new baby !!!!
Hey Guys
It is kinda weird that just 3 months ago I didn't have a single guitar. Now I have three!!!!
The X350MA - A Spectrum Series II & now this little beaut
She has not a single mark on her - Just like it left the factory.
In the process of fitting flat wound chrome strings & that's all that is needed. Oh yeah - a hard case is needed if anyone has one going?
Sounds wonderful
Thought I would share it with you all.

Re: Sharing my new baby !!!!
very nice
I tried one of these in black a couple of years ago in denmark street
I didn't know enough about it to know if it was reasonably priced (or not) by the time I'd done my research and gone back it was gone
you live and learn eh, if you like it and its in your budget you should probably buy it

Re: Sharing my new baby !!!!
Nice guitar! I've got a Washburn acoustic and an old road-worn (well-played with the scars to prove it!) Raven. I was after a J9 but bought an Ibanez Artcore instead, simply because too cheap to ignore.
If you want an authentic jazz tone, tape-wound/ flat-wound strings will do the job.
Washburn cases are a bit of an issue in the UK. Might be worth having a look at the Washburn guitar forum, it's got a section for UK members. Anything worth playing was sold in the US in a factory hard case, but in the UK Washburn guitars came in a gig bag at best (and sold at a higher price than in US). Ebay will be your friend if you want a hard case. Richtone in Sheffield sell new Washburns and can supply a case to fit the J series.

I recently put a set of D'Addario Chromes on a Godin 5th Avenue acoustic-electric (with two P90's!). Sounded 'king fantastic!

Re: Sharing my new baby !!!!
I remember when I was 14 years old learning Wes's version of Take Five and Jaguar - way over my head at the time, but I had a Jazz teacher that insisted I learn it. Take five is a great song to learn 5/4 meter. Simple melodie over an odd meter. Jaguar on the other hand was too tough for me at 14

I like Take Five; still play it to this day and love it when a drummer likes weird time sigs!! Didn't realise Wes had covered it, though.... must hunt it down and see where he takes it; I play it pretty straight.... I do like the slippery rhythm chords, Gm7 to Dm7 to F, and then into the Eb section : very cool piece!
