Thunder 3A UK Ebay
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/westone-thunder-3-active-guitar-1982-/250706958181?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item3a5f4c9765
Currently £6.10.
If this sells for less than I just paid for a Thunder 2A, that'll be a major "C'est La Vie" moment

Re: Thunder 3A UK Ebay
Don't tell me you bought a Westone, at last.
Looks like a nice Thunder IIa you got.
Don't panic look on the bright side.

My nature is that once decisions are made, no regrets. Onward and forward!
My Thunder seems to have the original case. One of the things that tipped me over was that I'm frustrated at having too many guitars that don't have cases. And with the thunder being an original shape, finding one to fit might be difficult or a bit pricey. So, simples.
Though, I didn't get as good a deal as the buyer got when you sold your Thunder 2A. But, I was done with waiting around.
Not buying in September when I said I would meant my budget increased, hence the 2A not the 1A I planned to get.
Eventually I want a UK made Westone, but it's not the first thing on my list, and with my obsessive compulsive budgeting strategy (and the likelyhood that family income will go down with various cuts), this is not going to be on the table for a fair while. And I really mean a "fair while".

Re: Thunder 3A UK Ebay
The one I sold was no where near as good a condition as the one you got.
Stick it under the bed

Re: Thunder 3A UK Ebay
congratulations on your first Westone
If it was This One you bought then I think it's a very good price it looks great and a case too! you can't grumble at that, as you well know they don't come along quite as often as the oak Thunder 1's/1A's..... looking forward to seeing some pics and hearing your verdict!

Re: Thunder 3A UK Ebay
Yep, that's the one I got. I was particularly taken with the idea of it having the right case. I was going to bid £233.07 on the Thunder 3A if I didn't get the 2A.

Yay! Congratulations AT! 'Bout time, eh?
Now let us hope that it measures up to your high expectations; I couldn't bear the thought of an annoyed Annoying Twit.

Just as well you got the 2a cause I was going to bid 233.08 on the 3.

Re: Thunder 3A UK Ebay
Congrats from me as well AT, finally broke your duck, it's all downhill from here!
One concern I'd have with that Ebay listing is the mention of 'Economy Delivery'. You do realize if it's a Royal Mail delivery it means it's thrown from a moving vehicle, paper boy style!(only joking)
P.S. Nearly forgot the old forum saying, "We need pics or it didn't happen"
DAN.

Re: Thunder 3A UK Ebay
Much prefer Royal Mail delivery. If we're not in, it's easy to go get it from Royal Mail.
BTW: I think the thread titular Thunder 3A is worth some discussion too!

Re: Thunder 3A UK Ebay
This went for £226 which seems to me to be a very good price, shame I took my eye off it.
