This string-through version is marginally more stable I suppose, it cuts down on that wild swing angle instability, but it's just a desperate attempt to save this lousy bridge design. It's still a piece o' hot steaming poo. Strings shouldn't be twisted and contorted like that.

Maple fretboards are usually clear sealed with lacquer. If they weren't they'd be quickly stained from dirty sweaty fingers! If you look closely you can see a bare spot in the first position where the finish is worn away and the dirt is accumulating.

Yes, but some fretboards have a thick glossy lacquer, while others have such a thin lacquer that you can hardly feel that it's there. Where on that continuum is the Paduak 1?
