The cat two bass

Picked this up recently apparently also a matsumoku made bass guitar it's loverly wish I had started looking for these sooner the neck profile is very nice feels thinner than the thunder basses

I'm not as familiar with all the Aria Pro II models (Lord knows there are many!) but this would likely be a spin off of the "Rock Solid Bass" series. There was a guitar model also called "The cat". Can't say for sure if it was a Mats build or later though.

I couldn't find a catalogue reference for the cat series but this Mats reference will at least show you its lineage:

It dosent say that it was made In matsumoku anywhere on the guitar but it feels very matsumoku if that makes sense  the pickup selector switch and tuners look and feel exactly like the thunder ones and the body of the guitar feels like an old spectrum bass I had
Can't find much info on  the aria basses so thanks for that flyer

I think I had one of these in 1988 - I swapped it for a Spectrum DX. I remember it being light and punchy sounding, but I was more of a DX fan.
