Dammit, the white Quantum got away...

There was a white Quantum bass for sale in France - was listed late last evening and I contacted the owner...

The white paint had yellowed very noticeably over the years but other than that, it looked good...

I tried to barter with the asked price a bit because of the paint issues, but I guess it didn't matter to another buyer because it sold quickly - I think it was up for roughly 12 hours only...

Is anyone here the lucky new owner...? If so, congratulations...

I wasn't snoozing, but I was attempting to negotiate a slightly lower price based upon area-specific yellowing on the body...I suppose I'd have gotten it if I had just paid the asked price, but it just didn't feel right...

I was aware that I might lose the bass because of it but I was hoping for the best and also didn't want to get caught up in any possible bidding war...In my world, the asked price was about 20% too high...

I'll get the next one...

Always a tough call, but ya gotta go with yer gut feeling eh?
