Westone Spectrum DX - deep clean
Just wondering what people use to properly clean all of the chrome/steel components in their Westies?
From what's lying on my table right I'd say this Spectrum hasn't been cleaned / maintained for 25 years.
All intel welcome.
Thanks.

Re: Westone Spectrum DX - deep clean
Pretty much any good quality metal cleaner will remove tarnish from the metal parts.
I have recently been using a product called Simichrome Polish which does a terrific job on both metal and plastic finishes.
If there is physical corrosion however, you may need to first lightly go over the area with various grades of abrasive papers to knock down the ragged edges before using a polish.

Thanks Barry. I'll see if I find the stuff or match it.
