Jacksocket tightening tip
I'm sure most of you will have had a loose jack socket that just goes round and round when you try to tighten it because you can't get hold of the back? Well here's my luthier tip as I do it... Buy yourself a cheap set of screw extractors like these in the photo. Select the one that fits half into the jack socket and hold it in place while tightening the nut with a spanner. The screw extractor grips the socket as you tighten. To remove the extractor simply turn it in the direction you tightened the nut. Done!
