I went all Columbo when THIS appeared on ePain and had a look over on the Westone.info site, It looks like it's an SP4112-PW model from around 1988-ish (correct me if I'm wrong!).

The enclosed bridge pickup is different to the catalogue's open coil humbucker, but that's not really a big concern.

Sounds like it needs i bit of work but with a cheap start off at £35 (+£18 p+p within UK) it could be a good project.

Hmmm, if so then it should have a Bendmaster Deluxe, and that has a Kahler Spyder, so I really don't know! It's almost certainly Korean from just after Matt closed the doors... looks tasty, eh!!

Ooops!, I missed that. I just googled Kahler spyder trem pictures and I'm not even sure it's a Kahler, maybe it's a straight Floyd copy?
This '89 CATALOGUE scan shows an S.II with a completely different layout, but it has a 'Bendmaster FR' fitted. Whatever it is, it means the guitar was well into Korean production.

By the way, while your on that catalogue check out page 5. I think it's about time crackle finishes made a comeback,
THAT LOOKS AWESOME cyclops cyclops cyclops . I LOVE THE EIGHTIES ! Cool

Nah, mate - stand firm against the nay-sayers and unbelievers; I reckon they're crash-hot finishes - I like the snakeskin ones!! They come up every now and again on the 'bay.... about as often as the Monark! Laughing

From my experience, they come up at least twice as often as Monarks... I've seen one Monark in the last year and three of those crackle or snakeskin ones (two crackle and one snakeskin).

This Spectrum pulled in £65 in the end. I think that's a bargain for guitar with that sort of setup, even if it's not a Matsumoku.
