Wow! The 'ole Fat Bottom Gal never looked so good. sunny

I don't particularly like the single coil mounting though, looks clunky and out of step with the guitar's design. For that matter so does the nickel cover on the 'bucker. Neutral

Hey fellers, one thing that has always bugged me about this model is the name Paduak.
The wood is actually called Padauk.
Does anyone know why the last two vowels were reversed?

I know that in the case of Aria Pro it was deliberately changed from the Japanese maker Shiro Arai to make it more pronouncible for the Western market.
That made sense.

And one of the Vantage models endured a typo early on with Entertainar.

But why change a proper name to one that invokes the nursery rhyme "with a nick-nack paddy-wack"?! Suspect
