New on ebay.de - Westone Warlock(?)
For the price, it is a steal! Neckplate states "A Matsumoko Product" and does not appear to have been replaced or even removed, so I am fairly sure it is a "Dimension IV". Seems to be in really good condition and if I had the cash I'd snap it up. It would fit perfectly with the type of music my son is currently playing.
The seller is also offering "make offer".
Darn, I can't post links yet, but here is the article number to plug into the fleabay search mask: 273821391023

(just one more day to wait!)
Meantime, here's the LINK
Man that's a weird one! Not sure what's going on with that.
Maybe one of the models from the German company Musik-Meyer??

I'm pretty sure it's a Dimension IV and a true Mats axe. I just wish I had been able to sell more stuff at the model aircraft fleamarket last weekend or it would already be mine - gotta downsize one hobby to support the other...

It's not a Dimension IV, sorry! This is what the D-IVs look like....

For a brief time in the 90s, there were BC Rich, and other, copies being marketed under the Westone name out of Germany.
There is nothing apart from that neck plate which is familiar to me as a Matsumoku product, not the machine heads, stringlock or bridge; I suspect that the neckplate was put on by a previous owner....
The plate is a late one and this was definately not in any of the brochures/price lists that we have access to...

Nope, definitely not a Mats made product, but someone has apparently gone to a lot of trouble to brand it.
Have a look at the head stock logo which I flipped around for better viewing:
That's factory applied, and note the registered trademark symbol (R).
Looks like a quality build though, with name hardware, so I wouldn't ignore it if it's of interest and the price is right.
Even though this style doesn't show up in our M-M catalogue reference I still suspect Musik-Meyer is behind this one.

The neck plate is the only Mats part on that instrument.
Those little neck screws are lost in the countersunk on the plate. Mats used heavy duty screws.
Agreed it's a Musik Meyer instrument. The 'R' on the logo is on all their instruments.

Did some more digging... I retract my previous comments. Do you think it might still be worth purchasing - the price is attractive and it still might fit my son's current music style?
