'Modified' Concord II

Yet another act of vandalism on a Westone, shameful.

To be fair it's not to bad, I reckon it could still make a nice guitar, but what the hell happened to the headstock.

Also note the over painted trussrod bullet and neck plate, British racing green I think....Mmmm, nice!

The guy carved the headstock into a new shape.

Gosh.. that's relatively insane. I don't feel so bad now about stuff I used to inflict upon my old Yam SG (sanding the neck) when I was a lad.

He's added a picture of the headstock. It doesn't look bad, sort of Fender-ish (better looking than a Fender headstock I'd say, but I've never been a fan of Fender). But, you know, it's not a Westone headstock. No lie, though, I don't have a problem with the look of it at all. In fact I like the headstock better than the pickguard (I only like the version 1 pickguards on Concords). Am I picky and weird or what?

That's better, at least you know what you're getting now.

To be fair, it probably will make a good guitar as long as your not expecting an original example.

Right, much better than I had imagined. He was liberal with the paint.

It didn't go last time so it's been re-re-listed HERE and still has a starting bid of £150 .

Way, way too dear for a 'modified' Concord; that's just an awful headstock treatment....

Yet again it didn't go (I'm shocked! )

Oh goody, it's back and has relisted HERE for the forth time! (is that a record?)

It's now priced with a starting bid of £90 - BUT - WITHOUT THE CASE!!!!! NNOOOOOoooooooooo

We now know what the recent £52 case was for..

This thing should have its own TV series: Wild Wild Westone.

Someone eventually stumped up one bid at the asking price of £90.

It finally went, I can't believe it!
