If there is such a thing I would be interested in finding a short scale Westone Bass..passive preferred, a Thunder would be a total bonus...could be shooting in the dark mind you Pacing & Thinking

Are you only interested in local sourcing Si?
There always seems to be a lot of Aria Pro II's and Avengers over 'ere.

Hi Barry, not particularly but in the end it is down to budget..shipping costs could be a deciding factor. Hadn't considered Aria's or Avengers but keeping it Matt's would be a good option. I will see what is available this end first, many thanks Smile

If you're after a shorter scale passive Thunder, then it can only be a Thunder II Version 3 Smile

I've had a Pearl White one on my wish list for ages (never seem to have the money when I see one, though - they seem to be elusive beasts!).

There's one on eBay (UK), but it's a bit rich for my tastes (& the wrong colour Smile ):

Thank you guys, initially I wasn't even sure if Westone had produced a short scale bass. At the moment I am playing a 30.5" bass scale (Hagstrom Futurama) and find the transition from guitar to bass really comfortable with this scale length. I recently bought a Squire Classic vibe Jazz bass, can not fault the instrument and it is very playable but the flow is different compared to a shorter run.

Thanks for the heads up on the T2 and the Concord 1. The T2 is a bit rich £££ but I will see what the seller is prepared to take. Not sure how the Concord will sound but there are a couple of C1's on the bay so might be worth a trip out...Cheers again

Just sold this recently, nice bass, 32.25" scale, ash bookmatched body, light! Vantage x88.
Worth considering if you see another around.

You can't go wrong with the Vantage line. Great Mats instruments.
