Record snowfall, blizzard of 2016!

Well, Harrisburg Pennsylvania wins for the East Coast, 28.6 inches of the white stuff (calm down Barry, I'm not talking about cocaine).

Record snowfall for us!  Enjoy this photo of Bigfoot the Sasquatch who was seen in the neighborhood...

Geez that's one beaut of a snow storm! Just 'bin watching some reports on CNN.

Not to rub it in but Southern Ontario was completely spared. We've had nice sunny skies and about -5C today.

Seriously Chad, hope all is well with you and yours. And for cryin' out loud, get a real snow shovel! That will kill yer back.

As Barry say's, hope you and yours are safe and well. Lived in Norway and Quebec for a while and from experience heavy snow like that is just "hard work" as I'm sure your aware...stay safe buddy

You're a lucky guy John!
The shovel? Well that size is OK to clear a light snow on the sidewalk, but when you get a major dump like this one that's also "wet" it gets bloody heavy!!

If you're forced to shovel (as opposed to using a snow blower) you're wise to use a shovel with an offset ("ergonomic") handle that shifts the centre of gravity and allows you to stand in a more upright position when lifting. Your lower back doesn't get the strain it would from bending over with a straight handle.

And Barry is right, those shovels seem to better position your back, hips and knees. 

Only about 7 hours of shoveling, over two days.  So not super bad, just bad.
