MMK 61 Pickups

Just a very quick one please.

Which models in the range had the MMK61's normally fitted as standard?

What is the general impression of the pickup for those with experience?.....Clean tone please.

I think the likes of the Rainbows and Session II had 61s; people with Rainbows like them!!

Pete mine had 75's,

I'm wondering if the 61's were geared more towards semi's/hollow bodies. There is a pair on the bay which came out of an old Mats Epiphone Riviera. Wondered how they would sit and sound in a solid body and although a tad expensive, they are not being made any longer so might be worth picking up.

I only have one guitar with a '61, a Vantage VP710 POST HERE and it's wonderful in this solid body. I don't think you'd regret buying them.

No experience at all with the '75

Thanks Barry, I remember your original VP701 post very well, it inspired a couple of Vantage purchases, both armed with 45's..... I like your thinking
