Damaged bass on ebay
hi guys, saw this bass on ebay and wondered what you all think re a repair?
as in, would it just be a case of a dab of superglue? the small section of fretboard has lifted for some reason.

My guess would be a truss rod issue, more than likely it's been over tightened and possibly snapped, approach with caution.

Re: Damaged bass on ebay
I agree that with the split at that point someone over did it when adjusting the truss rod. The proper fix would require the fret board to be lifted off and the truss rod checked or replaced. No easy fix on this one. I can think of no other reason the split would occur at that point and in that direction.

Re: Damaged bass on ebay
If that is the case then the question "why did it need tightening so much" is left hanging.
