Feedback on Spectrum for sale

Thanks in advance for any input...

There is a Spectrum for sale in KC here.  The guy thinks it is a Spectrum II but not sure.  I can't find any serial number lists online; he sent the serial# which is 88 01 0484.  Looks to me to be an SP5112 from photos of models on http://www.westone.info/spectrumseries2.html


He's asking $189, odd....  Just wondering what people think.  Looks in decent shape.

these are great players. 
the XA series were Matsumoku made 
the same guitars but the next year, not SLM anniversary models, were Korean made, some with Japanese manufactured parts even.
the one you linked to on craigslist is an early Korean production, but don't let that deter you, the first Westones from Korea were very good guitars 

i think it is a great deal, especially with the hard case.

if you buy it and don't like it, i'll buy it. i'd be happy to have it. 
very likely you will like it tho, it is a fine guitar

I don't think it's an SP5112, but it does have a MIJ neckplate and I reckon Spec III would be about right....

I did pick up what turned out to be the Spectrum III and got it with the original case for $150, had just been set up too!  Steal of a deal.  It's the burgundy model.  Want to post pix, but am having trouble uploading...
