BASS - Thunder 2 bass distortion revisited Empty Thunder 2 bass distortion revisited

Post by Clive Shakedown Sat Apr 18, 2015 6:49 am

Hi everyone.

A while ago I asked for help with a distorted pick up on a T2 bass, after resoldering the joints it went away.
now it's back, so could someone let me know how to wire the pick ups without any active connections?

there are 4 wires from each set of pick ups and I only need 2.

looked at the circuit diagrams but not too clear on the 2 I need?

The bass is so comfortable and the action is fantastic so I should be playing it!

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried changing the batteries?

Hi Westbone, there are no batteries in it. And it is switched to passive at all times.
Just been looking on the net, and what I'd like is a diagram to wire it up with a pick up selector, 1 volume and 1 tone, really simple but I'm getting stuck on the 4 pick up wires and don't know how to work  out the ones  I don't need.

Whatever is going to earth/common stays.
And live stays. The other two join together.

That sounds pretty easy!
If I get it wrong first time it must be the other way round.
Thanks very much, I think I was drowning in detail.
