I need the top part of the locking nut for my new Spectrum SX. I could also use a set of intonation screws or info on the size of screw. My email is jamescumberland@yahoo.com I check that email daily. Thanks, Cecil

Hi,

I think you can find some of what you might need here (this is where Corsair pointed me in the past):

http://www.westone.info/spares/index.html

Otherwise I will dig around at some of the local shops and see what I can find.

I take it you have ordered the top clamp plates from "Westone Spares". The triangular and square ones? I would check that the plates werent lost because the threads in the lock nut base plate were stripped through over tightening. Try an m4 bolt first. Through experience, the hole which clamps the E and A strings tends to strip more often primarily because the M4 bolt is not long enough to clamp the two thickest strings and therefore doesnt pick up enough of the available thread. The same length of bolt is used in all three holes despite clamping descending thicknesses of strings. I now use different lengths of bolt to avoid this problem.

By the term "intonation screws", are these the fine tuners on the Bendmaster trem? To my knowledge, there arent any available apart from picking a second hand trem unit. I am checking all the fasterner stockists locally here in the UK to see if they have anything comparable. If you are stuck, you could use an M4 bolt as temporary measure.

Cheers Steve

I know, totally irrelavent to this thread. But has anyone ever tried a Kahler or Floyd nut on a Westone?
