My girlfriends guitar.

My girlfriend wants to learn to play. She said she wanted a 'blue' guitar. That was her only criteria... I bought her this:

I love the colour! but does anyone Know why on earth they only sold it in blue and no other options? It seems rare, maybe thins was a trial or something and ppl didn't buy enough of them so no more colours were used and they were discontinued. Obviously I'm just speculating. I'm under the impression it has a true mmk 45, but again at this stage I'm just speculating.

Yep; 45 in the middle. I like mine just fine... it's not in the condition your ladies' one is though, but they are a very versatile guitar with some sounds you cannot get on any other guitar!!

I don't know why these were only available in the BB; another question for TP, methinks?!

I would also like to know why they were discontinued.... Later thunder iii guitars had this pickup arrangement. What gives ppl!?  

Nice colour. Do like those blue bursts.

Having had a Thunder III with that configuration  found them too fiddly with all the switching etc. for my taste. Some of the sounds were not up to much neither. Sold it on.

Yours  seems a little better with the 5 way switch.

Yeah, have to say that the 5 way - with a pull pot - makes the whole thing easier to manage, although I suspect the fit and finish of the Westone is of a higher standard than the Electra.

At least, that's my experience... YMMV!   

@ westbone: can i ask which tones you didnt like? With the splittable hb i would have thought it was basically a strat setup with some extra tricks. Eager to hear ur opinion mate. :^)

It's a few years back.,

Some of the out of phase sounds were very spikey, crap!

Had about 15 different settings the majority not up to much.

With the amount of switches it was like playing the piano.

Hahaha, fair enough! Good ol' slider im sure we wont go wrong with it. Although i am of the opinion that out of phase is nearly always terrible anyway. Dont use it on my spectrum sx.
