Weird uncle mat bridge...
So I've got this really weird bridge and I was just wondering if anyone's ever come across one? I'm just looking for technical information... mainly I'd like to understand how it works. It's not really like any other floating bridge I've seen in that it's screwed to the body of the guitar (maybe it's not floating?)
Also, has a strange lock mechanism on the right hand side that appears to squeeze down on the strings where they attach on the trem block at the back of the guitar. Here's a pic:

Thanks!

Re: Weird uncle mat bridge...
Floating means it only attaches via pressure to the bridge pins, and can be pulled up or down. Is this how it is? Need photos of all angles to tell you how it works. It probably "locks" the strings below, which is sorta useless considering they'll still move on the saddles.

Looks like an FT bridge with some kind of quick detune device?

Re: Weird uncle mat bridge...
Move it around and see what it does...
Does it effect the tuning?
Does it lock the trem?
Is it a self destruct lever?
Does it turn the tv on?
Does it wipe it's own nose?

Haha
It does do stuff - thankfully not a self destruct lever - when you pull the tab thing on the left outwards, there's a clamp that comes down on the back of the trem block where the strings are secured. I guess it's to prevent the strings from falling out when you're really wanging on the wang bar?
Also, people might like to know that the trem arm collar also fits in the Monark (X5) The string lock for this guitar is also identical to the string lock on the Monark, it's just chrome instead of mat black on the Monark.
I'm still trying to find its nose to check to see if it's wiping it, and my tv is unplugged so unless it's also able to move vinyl laden shelves it won't be able to watch tv while I'm at work... Although I don't have cable so I'm figuring it wouldn't be interested in tv either way.
Random thought - I was looking at a Honda Civic the other day while I was driving and it really reminded me of the Spectrum headstock.

TP has said there was another Bendmaster bidge out there somewhere called the LNS....
".... some of our guitars with a locking nut, locking saddles
AND ball clamps on the trem block. Bendmaster LNS - Direct change out
for an FT. "
Maybe???
