Pantera Case
Not exactly technical...but darn tricky non the less....
Does anyone know how much material is required to re-line a Pantera case?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Pantera Case
Material is usually sold by the metre.
Measure what you need from the material you select.

Cheers Westbone, usually leave sewing and shopping to the missus so never had to buy material before.
I'd guess a couple of metres should do.....any left over and I might knock up a scatter cushion or two....

Re: Pantera Case
I've built a couple of cases and trimmed them; always allow quite a bit more than you think would be be my advice!
Fabric generally comes off a bolt which can be quite wide, so be aware of that - the Urchin case took about 3m of black satiny stuff from a. bolt about 2 m wide from memory and you'll find allowing wide seams and plenty extra to make tuck ins and darts is wise...
The best glue I've found for gluing fabric to foam etc. is the likes of Bostik No1; it doesn't leave the finished product all hard and crusty.

Re: Pantera Case
I agree with john regarding glue, don't use spray adhesive! It sticks grear but dries crunchy! I use it at work everyday and it's only good for carpets.

Re: Pantera Case
Actually, I have to report that I use an awful lot of "No More Nails" for gluing foam guitar shaped cut outs to the case; its great stuff, eh!!
Best used where the results can't readily be seen....
I've used spray adhesive only once and will never use it again.... stuff has a habit of going bloody everywhere but where you need it!! Its horribly expensive, too!!

Re: Pantera Case
thanks for the help gents...sunglasses at the ready...
this was the state I got it in...

bit of time and effort and viola....

and in clarification of what Westies will fit in a Pantera case..
Spectrum

Concord

Thunder...yes it's in there somewhere...not just the neck and 45's

I ended up using around a 2m length of fabric and used Peter Cook Heavy Duty Adhesive (spray) which worked a treat.....just in case anyone is ever bored enough to re-line their case..
Thanks once again for your advice
