Westbury Track 4 Bass refinished
Hello everyone.
Here is my recently refinished Westbury track 4,
Thanks to everyone on these forums who gave me much needed advice,
needless to say it sounds and feels fantastic, gigged it last night and the DiMarzio pafs really push out the volume,
The gain on the amp was down to a quarter of the setting I use for my Thunders.
Gave me a whole new sound.
Thanks again! here's some pics.

holy smokes Mr Shakedown... that looks really, reaaally good - nice job!!
if i had known it coulda looked like that I would have bought it myself.
mind you, my skills wouldn't have resulted in something looking like that.
....as Sarge might say, dibs!!

Re: Westbury Track 4 Bass refinished
Thanks everyone, The finish is clear red nitro with a mahogany stain on the maple to start with, although the stain didn't go as dark as I thought it would, in the end the colour was just right.
The scratch plate choice was a long one, red with bling? or black and cool? bling won!
A 500k volume with a 250 tone, the other 2 switches are some kind of strange coil tap or phase thing, I copied it from the original(?) wiring, makes the sound a bit thinner.
The only real problem I had was digging out the old
pick up screws that had broken off and welded themselves into the wood. Am now on the look out for the next one.

Thanks Westbone, I did try to figure it out, but the connectors on the back of those mini toggles make my head hurt.
