Hey guys I'm a newbie to this forum but been reading it for a while.  I've been a die hard westone fan ever since I bought a spectrum DX brand new about 26 years ago and really loved it. Never could seem to find a better playing guitar in the stores to upgrade to so I never did.  Now that I'm all grown up, my kid is always playing on it wanting lessons so I finally decided I want to get that Westone model that I couldn't afford back then... Any help in finding one of those Pantera X390 or X350MA would be appreciated!!

Easy there big fella, people are still getting over the holidays, getting back to work, and in the Northern Hemisphere, dealing with a Polar Vortex!

You do realize that you are looking to get 2 of the scarcest Westone models made eh?
The designer Tom Presley had this to say:
I do know that we made 96 of the 390 class Pantera models in various colors. There were only about 48 of the curly maple ones made world wide, and only a "few" with the Bendmaster. Most maples were made without trem and others with the Kahler. Yep, I'd like to have one of those too! Tim Harmon, a long term associate of mine has one. If I ever get more than $1,200.00 in my savings account I'm going to try to get it from him. After all, he has a bunch of my prototypes in his studio - several one of a kind, purely customs. If you're reading this Tim, I'd like to have it! And, by the way, Trevor has MY Pantera and refuses to give it back. It was the first production Pantera 390 in the Caspian Blue. Those who have 'em have mostly had to search for them for some time. But they occasionally appear on places like eBay, and even less occasionally a Forum member will offer one here.

Best advice is to continue searching the usual places, and check here regularly in the For Sale Forum. Many of us are looking for interesting Westies, world wide, and will post the details there.

Anybody know why does it say that there were x390 in MA curly maple finish??   (#3)  I cannot find any evidence of this...


  1. X390CB – $1199, Caspian Blue finish, OFC pickups, Kahler DLX trem
  2. X390DBK – $699, Dull Black finish, 2 Magnaflux pickups, Bendmaster DLX trem, pickup switching is by two push button switches.
    These guitars are often wrongly described by sellers as a prototype because of the unusual switches.
  3. X390MA – $975, Curly Maple finish like the X350MA (Also known as the Deluxe), 2 Magnaflux pickups, Bendmaster DLX trem
  4. X390PW – $1199, Pearl White finish, OFC pickups, Kahler DLX trem (Though not mentioned in the pricelist, these are sometimes seen with a Bendmaster Deluxe instead of the Kahler)

Sorry Mopower, I think this was mis advertised, looks more like an X300....not an X390...and it has sold anyway

I haven't been on this site for a few weeks.  I just logged on today and found a message in my inbox from mopower inquiring if I still had an X-390 for sale.  He included a phone number.  So I called and it rolled straight to voice mail and the outgoing message said that the user had not set up their voice mail box.

Yes, I have one I would sell.  PM answered.

I have a Pantera X-350 curly maple body, excellent shape with original case. Original Bendmaster trem with after market arm. The pickups were upgraded to EMG's before I purchased it. Great finish, snowflake inlays. If interested send me a PM and I will provide photos. I can't seem to get photos to load on the quick reply.
