Humbucker mounting issue
Bought a Suhr SSH+ to try in my Dynasty. Slight problem. The humbucker mounting holes had been drilled out for a direct mount application. Therefore the height adjustment/mounting screws won't work (holes are too big and not threaded). See what I mean in this photo:
Any ideas on how to amend this? The seller recommended masking tape about 4x around each hole and then drilling through the tape. Says it works very well. Let me know what you think.

Re: Humbucker mounting issue
I'm thinking to super glue a small nut over each hole (a nut that fits the mounting screw). That would work.

Re: Humbucker mounting issue
Just an update, I had soldered my nuts on and it worked great. Gotta watch your heat so you don't get all the wax melting out. I had two alligator clips on each side of the pickup ear, they were my heat sinks.
So if you have pickups intended for direct mount, just find some nuts and solder them on.
