well, i took westcoaster's suggestion and made it a party weekend. 

went to So-Cal and set up in a nice hotel/spa in Newport Beach. soaked up some sun, some beer and wine along with lots of good food.

and to top it off, i come home to find out i scored another guitar on my westone want list. i dropped a bid on friday morning before we left (auction ended sat. nite)  and i beat the snipers by less than two bucks! nyaahahahaaaa! 

so yeah, good party weekend and nice birthday cheer all around . thanks everybody!

there were lots of bids on that one, but everybody going lowball on it. 16 bids had not reached the reserve price yet.
and it still came in at a decent price considering a hard shell case and shipping included. 
knock off 50 bucks for the case and 40 for shipping and the guitar itself was just over a hundred bucks.
