strap button
Anyone ever find an accurate button replacement? I've searched around but cant seem to find one the same.
I dont want to replace both with a standard pair or straplocks as I rather like the Westone buttons, my strap NEVER slips off these.

Re: strap button
Never had to find a replacement. But I think a lot depends on the strap material and thickness, etc., rather than the button, in most cases. But the Westie buttons do seem to have a larger diameter, which can only help.Sgt. Vimes wrote:Anyone ever find an accurate button replacement? I'm a relatively recent convert to Strap locks.
Never used 'em back in the day when the potential for guitars crashing to the ground during a gig was much higher. Instead, developed the habit which I still employ today, of never taking both hands completely off the guitar. I never completely rely on the strap.
Still, strap locks are now pretty much standard equipment. Particularly as my grip is less secure now with the arthritis creeping in.

The nearest you'll find to Westones are these.

Re: strap button
I usually get THESE from Axes'r'us. Perfect for replacing all the buttons missing from my Thunders.
