Re: videos on You tube
Anybody else think this video of Jimmy Hendrix might have inspired David Gilmour when Pink Floyd wrote 'wish you were here' ? The first few minutes got me thinkin' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPtv14q9ZDg
Other than that, too many great video's out there. Still this one made me feel real good https://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=_viuM_sEOOU

Re: videos on You tube
Thanks Barry and Ice! I happen to know a lot of guitarists that turned into drummers! So let me introduce ...
some classic videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_SylGOskjWw
and : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1ThSi1wbqU
and now for something completely different, for the guy has got a talent, you should check out his other videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_sMAB6SAx3U When music was about fun, not DJ's recycling and owning the industry taking over the stage, or rappers making claims by mistaking the vehicle for the road... instead of musicians or musical culture and heritage, which never was the case anyway. I rest my case. I'm turning old. Fun, difficult, history, boring. 'If you fail to prepare you prepare to fail'. I for one belong to both categories. Nothing new...

Re: videos on You tube
Like watching this guys acoustic stuff. The first video is a bit of a classical/heavy rock mash up, the second is a 9 minute epic but it has some cool riffs and playing.
Ewan Dobson - Acoustimetallus Plectrus
Ewan Dobson - Blood and Ice
Still not sure why he is dressed like the Karate Kid though...

Pretty obvious Dan. So, when cleaning his guitar, he can softly chant, "wax on, wax off"DuoFuzz wrote:...Still not sure why he is dressed like the Karate Kid though... DAN.

Re: videos on You tube
an amazing video published Sunday by Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield, he bids farewell to the International Space Station (ISS) with the most epic cover of David Bowie’s Space Oddity perhaps ever, in footage that will go down as the first music video filmed in space.
watch some of his other videos too, just amazing...

Re: videos on You tube
Chris Hadfield was born in Sarnia, Ont., but his parents live in my current home town of Milton, Ontario. Of course, he's a local hero.
Everything from a school to a street has been named after him, and he frequently visits for various functions and fundraisers.
Quite an extraordinary fellow. It's not often you marry a scientific mind with arts sensitivity and an ability to teach and communicate. The late Carl Sagan was the last such person that I can recall.
Not too wild about the cheesy mustache though.

Re: videos on You tube
are you ready for some serious Hippy-Party?!
then enjoy the PIG-NIC
and see KVHW get down to some serious jams! i was at this concert, but this is not my video of the show. i just found the vid yesterday.
(and those clouds of smoke billowing past the camera, you know exactly what that is! oh yeah!).
the concert stage was powered by solar panels and a flat-bed trailer with bicycle-generators set up for volunteer 'power generators'. 15 minutes pedaling got you a free lemonade.
this is one set from a 3-day extravaganza called 'The Pig-Nic'. it took place at The Hog Farm (in Laytonville, CA) owned by renowned 60's icon, Wavy Gravy (who also introduces the band). the concert weekend was a fundraiser for Camp Winnarainbow
