Dimension WE5400 wiring

Does anyone know where I can get a diagram...A feature of this guitar was its hot and quite....its neither one... I have an Electra Lesley West and it smokes this Westone...Thanks in advance

I do not know of anyone with a diagram of that guitar's wiring, but that doesn't mean one doesn't exist. A few members here do sketch them out when working on them so you never know.

And do not be surprised that your x120 can smoke that Dimension. Are you suspecting that there may be an electronic issue with your Westone?

Yes...its as if Ive lost a ground but in looking I see nothing... another thing is in order to get any type of rich tone I have to turn the tone pot nearly off then with that the output is cut...Im used to running my volume at 3 to 4 leaving me plenty of head room for breaks...what I have now is nearly all or nothing and its noisy unless I stand in one place.....

Well, I have a pair of the exact same model as yours and I can go ahead and attempt to sketch out a diagram for you. Unfortunately I am not as skilled as some at doing those things...

Or would a series of detail pictures of the control cavity of mine be of sufficient value to you?

this is the wiring cavity on my greenslime Dimension

these are the mini switches, neck on the left and bridge on the right

the back of the tone pot has the main ground connection. you can see the gray cable jacket for the bridge pickup wiring, the black wire from the neck pickup and the striped wire to the spring claw. the cap is .047uf, and you can also see the blue cable from the volume pot

blue shielded cable for all component interconnections in wiring cavity is typical for all the Korean models i have encountered
