Why the hell do people bother doing this...???
Hi Everyone..
A few months back i was looking for another guitar for fun...
Had been reading about the new Sterling Musicman guitars an set myself a daft challenge in the process of buying at least a acoustic, a Les Paul style an a strat style guitar for under £200:00 each...
Simple i here..
Well i got a Garrison parlour acoustic for £50:00 in very good condition...

A Late Aria PE set neck in trans red for £115:00 in good condition ...

An Then saw a add on ebay which i couldn't pass up...
3 week old Sterling by Musicman Silo3 in candy apple red.....
Hit the buy it now an was £160:00 with p&p down...
2 weeks passed an it turned up an everything looked good bar a high e string was snapped so restrung it an tried it..
Fantastic guitar with a great neck an very well put together....
Plugged it in an was let down....
sounded weak an dead....
Took off the plate to find someone had tried rewiring it over an over again for some reason not know to man...
The bridge humbucker was running as a single coil all the time an the wiring was a mess...
Since then its been sorted an is a great budget guitar if anyone fancy one..
The Humbucker is weak soundung but thats going to get changed soon. The nut on mine needs recutting as its slightly off but ok for now....
The single coils are fantastic an it has a neck to body fit that is on par with the Uncle Mats an very tight....
It has a Great neck which is A symmetric meaning the centre line is moved more towards the top of the neck an feels like a C under the thumb an a V on the treble side... Very comfortable an easy to play.....
Will post pics soon...
Has anyone else had any problems like this before...??????

I haven't played the Sterling but I have waxed poetic before about the "real" Music Man instruments. And, as you've experienced, just the most fantastic necks since Uncle Mats. Honestly! By the way, are these finished in gun stock oil and bees wax like the real deal?...3 week old Sterling by Musicman Silo3 in candy apple red.....
The Music Man humbuckers generally are shipped with custom DiMarzios humbuckers, if that's any help. The Humbucker is weak soundung but thats going to get changed soon.
Again, the "real" one has a compensated nut and locking machine heads. The nut on mine needs recutting as its slightly off
... Very comfortable an easy to play.....

Not so much wiring but I did get an Ovation off eBay with a funky neck caused by a drop. That required a neck reset! The only reason I fixed it was because it was a semi-rare guitar, beautiful, and really nice to play. Plus, it was um, kinda cheap to buy.Has anyone else had any problems like this before...??????

Of course, pix of the Sterling are in order!
