Phonies On Feebay! Empty Phonies On Feebay!

Just a heads up. I've been seeing quite a few listings for Westones that have unidentified bodies. After confronting a few of the sellers in the last couple months(which magically the listings disappeared!)on the "Westone" guitar listings, I realized how many "partial" Westone and Aria Pro Geetars were floating around. Some people take the headstock as a 100% fool proof way of distinguishing an original guitar from a fake. Most of you know this is not the case. I actually purchased one that I knew the body didn't jive but I wanted to try to identify the body which was a Chinese low end body that the neck fit the pocket but besides looking like a made at home guitar, the intonation was never going to happen. In short, today I see another "fake" listed(looks like a X120 neck on a Schecter Damien body) in the US and like so many dishonest sellers, he insist's he bought this new in 1986 and that it has not been tampered with. I know most of the people on this site are very knowledgable but I'm hoping at least 1 person can read this and keep from being had!

Cheers for getting on that Sundance.

I guess it's a sign that Westies have arrived, when they start counterfeiting them. That's the reward we get for gushing so much about them. Phonies On Feebay! 3356915118

If this is the X120 you mean, it's genuine.

No, that one is good. The one I was referring to has been removed. This blue guitar has been listed for a few days and the body is questionable, at this link

That's a 1990 Spectrum II or I

Body and hardware look to be fine.

Thanks for that link! Im surprised to see how much the Alvarez Dana and the Westone Dana are alike. I have the Alvarez Dana with Tri Force pickups, decent guitar, just wish it was a Westone!
