Re: Westone Concord DX (Matsumoku Product - Made in Japan)
The Concord DX was the precurser to the Spectrum DX
A transitional period. Then renamed Spectrum.
That's why they're almost exact.
Your serial no. should be on the neckplate or back of headstock.
First no. indicates year. ie. 4 = 1984

Re: Westone Concord DX (Matsumoku Product - Made in Japan)
It is more rare, yes. Don't see them a whole lot, but the only main difference is in name only (Concord vs. Spectrum), so not a real hot item for collectors.
Well, and the fact the Concord is actually made out of pure gold. With a thick coating of paint.
But those are the only differences I guess.
And hey Barry, you reading this yet?! Why ain't you got Concord info on the website, eh? Huh?!

See?! The man just don't care.
The Concord is made of pure gold and he STILL refuses to feature it.

Honestly - We have all done it! You can't possibly suspect what you don't know. It's called bitter learning, and it drives better learning.
Look at it this way - you'll have 'one-of-a-kind'

yeah oh well...
don't sweat it dude! it's not like you hacked up a $5000 guitar.
there are lots of westies available these days, and you can get another one.

Re: Westone Concord DX (Matsumoku Product - Made in Japan)
You know, under all that sawdust it's still a Spectrum, eh!
As long as that fantastic neck is still OK and you have the electronics...she can still roar!

Re: Westone Concord DX (Matsumoku Product - Made in Japan)
No worries, it's NOT an ultra rare priceless artifact.
I was just kidding, it's not REALLY made of Gold.
Looks like your inspiration was the LTD F-50!
If I were you, I'd either get a new body or finish the one you have. Forget about the past and move forward! And welcome to the forums.
