I don't recall Westies having strat bodies like that, its not a Spectrum, they have horns. Looks fishy to me, a Westone neck on another body? A Chinese Westone? There are more knowledgeable cats on here than me, perhaps they will help.

I'll go with hobster. Screams partcaster. (not always a bad thing) Seems to have lost the stringclamps on the nut.

Shapes are different but apart from rounded of corners, a lot of similarities. Odd.

Maybe someone in here can identify the trem (bendmaster double locking?)?

well it looks like a challenger to me, and the bendmaster. the man to ask here is probably Brainfertilizer.
if it is, its a plywood guitar made in Korea.
can we see more pics? including the back please

Could be a Challenger, but the Challenger has a Bendmaster FR bridge; your one - to my eye at this remove! - has a Bendmaster Deluxe with the usual behind the nut stringlock, sans lock washers.

Detail shots of the bridge, the back, and the neck plate would help....

Early Challenger. Saehan production using some Matsumoku parts. Soft Maple body - Matsumoku Bendmaster Deluxe - First Gen pickups made both in Japan and Korea via original Westone spec. Models were later changed due to lack of original Matsumoku parts. New parts were obtained thru Fuji, Cort/Westheimer, Maxon etc. Without more detail, this is my best guess.

tom, I was led to believe the challengers were a ply bodied guitar, is that not the case?

Thanks Tom, always good to see you posting on here. You should come around more often! Very Happy Maybe the early Challengers were of better quality? No ply and Matt parts.
