String Height
I have a Bendmaster Deluxe on my 1630 Genesis II, can you adjust the string height individually? it seems you can just raise either side of the bridge, when I have my string height where I like it at 70 on the 6th and 60 on the first, the G and B string sit at 50, will I have to make a new nut? there doesn't seem to be a way to raise individual string height, unless I am just not seeing it. Thanks Ben.

Re: String Height
the bendmaster deluxe is engineered to match the radius of the fretboard. there are no individual height adjustments on the saddles. look closely to make sure that all the saddles are in the correct position, each one is different.

Re: String Height
The only real option to alter individual string heights is to shim the saddles. Not hard but fiddly...

As always, right on the money Mike. Great pix too!
Similar 'idiot proof' idea as the Gibson ABR-1/Nashville bridges...only better!

Re: String Height
Well shimming the saddles sounds like a good idea to me, it will be easier than me making a new nut for the guitar. Thanks

Re: String Height
OK, OK, John, you've been on the money longer. Well done.
I think I need to add some of this stuff, plus the recent reference to trem bars and cover plates to either our FAQ's or the web site Hardware Repairs section...or both, eh?

Re: String Height
I am such a try-hard, eh!! There is loads of good info in here that really should be more easily accessible, I agree; how do we go about collating and offering it up?

Re: String Height
That's the idea behind the FAQ's. But I think this stuff perhaps more correctly belongs on the FixMe section of the information web site under the general heading of tremelo bridge repair. We can easily link to it from an FAQ posting here.
What I need from y'all are specific forum thread links from which I can edit and assemble the salient details; a list of commonly found Westone trem types along general descriptions, plus replacement/repair info, if any.
Thanks to forum member Rick we currently have one item on the site for a Bendmaster replacement and its claw:LINK
The idea would be to build on that data.
