Are we there yet?

Folks, I think I've instigated as much large scale (obvious) change as I can, short of completely replacing the theme of the site.
My goal when I started was to improve functionality and generally freshen up the joint
I think that's pretty much been accomplished as of this writing (I hope).

I continue to fiddle and tweak a few things here and there, mostly behind the scenes, when I see or think of something which needs "help". But for the most part I'm going to lay off a bit and let everyone get comfy with the current changes.

Meantime please let me know if you have any requests or problems with the site and I'll try to accommodate you (within reason).

Thanks to the membership for putting up with the disruptions, and a big thanks, as always, to John for trusting in a crazy Canuck and allowing him to run amuck and to vent his inner geek!

I like it all except the quick link stuff on the right. I have to close it out everytime - Is ther a way to minimize it for good?

But the rest looks fantastic!

A button labeled "Beer" which would pour a cold pint through my DLNA port when clicked would be okay by me.

Anyone else?

As I explained in my original post it should remain closed unless you are clearing your browser cache.

I think youve done a grand job here. The bit that gets me is the times of posts shown, it seems to flip between my time and somewhere West of me during the evening.

Ah, they just flipped back to my time when I posted, seems they all go to whatever the relevant local time it is for the last poster??

I cavalierly reset the time to my local time zone (Toronto/New York) as I was reviewing the board set up. I figured since we have members from Europe to Oz, Canada/USA is kind of in the middle.

With a 5 hour difference(?) perhaps you are experiencing some weirdness as the date changes.

No date change here or your side when I brought it up, perhaps its John with his lavvy flushing the wrong way.

Now you've got me curious. As I write this it's about 6:07 pm forum time. Which is still wrong since we're on daylight savings time now and should be an hour later.

All this and you've had time to invent a time machine as well.

This shows to me as :-

That would be the correct time for you grogg, relative to the forum creation time i.e. 5 hrs difference across the waters when adjusted for Daylight Savings Time here.
