I can vouch for this model personally. For a bolt neck copy it doesn't get much better than this...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/200768584324?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_sacat%3D0%26_nkw%3D200768584324%26_rdc%3D1

Don't let the MagnaFlux thing worry you. They will be MMK45's as that is what much of the Electra literature called them. Fully bound in tortoise shell, a solid heavy beast with sustain that would make Nigel Tufnel Cry Sad

I've had abit of correspondence with this seller as I originally ran across him during a CL search some time back. They bought a large private collection of over 300 guitars so you shall see them for the forseeable future on ebay and elsewhere.

Bolt-on and LP, doesn't make sense to me but this guitar looks good. 24.75 scale I suppose.

The Electra 110 Rock Strad is indeed an awesome LP copy in every way. Unless you bother to look and see it is a bolt on you would never know the difference. Tonal range and sustain are very nice and it has the same binding and finish as the Jazz Stread hollowbody model. Very nice axe. Here is a shot of the one I have but mine had a pickup replaced by the previous owner who also added a push pull. I like the mod so I have let it stand for now.

Those a beautiful guitars for sure. Didn't used to like LPs but now I'm thinking I need one too (well I actually don't NEED anything, but hey you all know what it feels like).

While we're on it, I would be interested to read your opinions on this here guitar LINK.

I already own a stagg strat copy. It feels it's age (thick neck, small frets, very low output, ultra high gloss neck) but it's a sturdy piece of wood and I like it (will be putting some ironstones in pretty soon).

Looks like it may be a good one. Never seen that brand name before but the construction looks familiar for certain. I have never seen the 3 pickup config before but looks nice.

I once had a Stagg Bass, a 90's model that I bought for the beautiful trans bluey green........possibly one of the worst guitars Ive ever held!
I wasnt aware that Stagg were producing in the 70's, that LP looks a million times better than the current new Staggs

Oh yes, forgot to mention, but Stagg, not unlike Westone, was re-used again at some point during the 90s for Chinese-made guitars. But there is no relation between these old MIJ staggs and the modern ones that are flooding the market.

As far as I know, stagg (the originals) were made in the Fujigen Gakki factories and were intended for export. They were initiailly supposed to be entry level guitars. Now, these Japanese luthiers apparently had a warped idea of what entry level was supposed to be since I have yet to play an old MIJ that is wanting in build quality.

Guess entry level is just cheaper material (low grade pickups, maybe some plywood, no research or development for new designs).

I think I might end up bidding on this one if the price doesn't rocket. But I don't wish to end up with a guitar that just turns out to be "ok but nothing to write home about".

We had a 'Fresher' LP copy in the store the other day for repairs (setup, electronic repair, etc.)

I've owned some Aria Pro II and Electra LP copies before. But this Fresher was most faithful reproduction of a LP Standard that I've ever seen. It had the lawsuit headstock, short tenon, solid maple cap, solid mahogany body, set neck, etc. With vintage Dimarzios - a super distortion and a dual sound. Based on the headstock shape, I would guess 1981 at the latest. Probably a child of the '70s.

I told the guy that if he ever wanted to sell it to give me a call.

There is one on ebay right now. Looks very good and a boatload of $$ is being asked for it.

That Stagg looks like it is mid seventies and Fujigen Gakki looks right. It is probably on par with Ibanez from the same period.

Personally, I tend to avoid bolt on Les Paul's as they are not as highly cherished as their set neck counterparts.

Having said that, I would defy anyone to differentiate the sound of the two together.

There is a bit to much bollox believed about the tonal qualities of set neck guitars. Just snobbery in my opinion.

It's true that a bolt-on LP doesn't look quite right. Sound-wise though, I trust your judgment.

Have read loads of good stuff about these Fresher guitars (among many others). Too bad there is now a great deal of speculation going on. MIJ-guitar bubble I guess.
