Video of « The Rail »
Hi,
I quite like Westone's Rail bass guitar.
But why isn't there anywhere a videoclip, demonstrating some bassplay?
I mean you can find almost anything on YouTube, Vimeo, Daily Motion, etc but not a single video about this bass.
Would it be alright for someone who owns this wonderful instrument to record a few minutes and upload for us to watch please?
Thank you

Re: Video of « The Rail »
I don't really have any recording equipment, and none of my concert videos have either good lighting or good audio quality. Additionally, I haven't had a functioning digital camera in over a year. My parents do have functioning cameras though, so perhaps I could try out the video function on one of them, see how the sound turns out.

No you don't ...
You're not getting off that easy, mister!
Pack one along for ElectraFest and show 'em your chops.

One of mine or Arthur's will be along for Electrafest. Have to decide who has the best example. But that's a ways off, doesn't help if Cov would like a video sooner rather than later.

Re: Video of « The Rail »
Gentlemen, have you ever had the feeling you really, really need to get one particluar bass? I have this feeling right now,
First thing I have done was to gather all pictures of the Rail google has to offer. It found 102 pictures for me and I'm looking at them right now.
Maybe I shouldn't do this, cause it makes me feel so ... uhm ... desperate?
Why did they stop selling them I wonder .. and why hasn't any other bass manufacturer picked up the design?
It's simply beatiful ►

If it's not allowed to post pictures here, please delete.
Thanks

Re: Video of « The Rail »
Pictures are just fine to post. That Rail has a really weird aftermarket pickup on it; looks a bit haphazardly attached.

Re: Video of « The Rail »
Just to let you know how I found the RAIL in the first place.
From a board for musicians.
Never mind the language, it's the first posting on the top ►

That thread was created for those looking for estimates of second hand basses.
I was kind of shocked, to be honest

Re: Video of « The Rail »
I feel the need to add the "I didn't actually know how to play this song" disclaimer! Wow, the bass is way overpowering in this recording.
Also, hi guys! I've been crazy busy lately between work and juggling three bands, sorry I haven't been around!
